INDIVIDUAL SPIRITUAL DIRECTION

The Retreat Center offers both individual and group spiritual direction. Along with other trained, experienced, adjunct staff we meet with people at the Retreat Center in Cohasset and in Brighton at 637 Cambridge Street.

Spiritual Direction encourages you to experience a closer relationship with God. In the midst of a busy life, many people find it difficult to notice God's action in their daily affairs. Yet, at the deepest level, all of us long for a more conscious experience of God's presence and love. You might come to spiritual direction for a variety of reasons, including to:

• Identify and trust your own experiences of God
• Deepen and expand your prayer and attentiveness to interior spiritual movements
• Integrate spirituality into your daily life
• Discern and make choices
• Grow in relationship with God, self, others, and creation

The privilege and responsibility of a spiritual director is to journey with you as the above desires are fulfilled. The journey takes place in the context of confidential, one-on-one or group sessions with your spiritual director.

Call for more information or to set an appointment for individual spiritual direction. The stipend for individual direction is on a scale from $35-$65/session (50-60 minutes) in accord with what you can afford.

GROUP SPIRITUAL DIRECTION

For those who prefer to meet in a small group rather than individually, several opportunities for 5 sessions of Group Spiritual Direction are offered on Mondays and Fridays during October, November, December, January, February and April. Anyone who is interested in Group Spiritual Direction is invited to apply, meet other folks exploring the option, learn more about Group Spiritual Direction and experience one session. Each group is limited to 4-6 directees. A session will last approximately two hours. After the introductory session you must discern and commit to all of the remaining sessions. The total cost for the five sessions is $100.
