The
Sisters
of Saint Joseph of Boston is a Congregation of more
than 450 women religious who minister in the Greater Boston
area and beyond. We are one of the 23 Congregations which
comprise The
U.S.Federation of the Sisters of Saint Joseph, a dynamic
union of all the Sisters of Saint Joseph of the United
States who claim a common origin in the foundation at
LePuy, France, in the mid-seventeenth century.
Together we strive to embody a vision of all people united
in one earth community of love, unity and reconciliation.
We do this through collaborative programs, interaction,
prayer and ministry. In our conflicted 21st century world,
the Sisters of Saint Joseph seek to bring our traditions
and vision to life in a way that speaks to our contemporary
society and is a positive influence for change.
The basic desire of the Sisters of Saint Joseph is to
reflect a profound love of God and neighbor without
distinction. Our mission is to live and work inclusively
so that all may be one.

Enflamed
with the compassion of God,
we Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston,
women of the Church,
rooted in the Gospel
together with our Associates,
are impelled by the active,
inclusive love of God to:
deepen
our relationship with
God and the dear neighbor
without distinction;
foster prophetic communion;
and journey into the future
with Sisters of St. Joseph and
Associates
throughout the world,
and with all God's creation.
